Penelope (Nellie) Kiehl is the founder and principal designer of Timberluce Design LLC-FZ, based in Dubai. A graduate of the prestigious Diploma course at KLC School of Design in London.
Having lived in nine countries across six continents, Nellie brings a uniquely international perspective to her work, shaped by a lifetime of creating homes across cultures and continents.
Inspired by British heritage, Mediterranean warmth and a relaxed New Zealand sensibility, Timberluce Design creates timeless interiors that balance beauty, comfort and functionality.
Nellie approaches every project holistically, tailoring space planning, custom joinery, furnishing, and styling to the people who live there.
At the heart of the studio's philosophy is a commitment to sustainability and thoughtful sourcing—focusing on reusing, reimagining, and investing in pieces built to last.
Inspired by her children, Tim and Lucie, the name Timberluce Design perfectly captures this love for natural materials, warmth, and light.
